Fans are saying “hats off” to Rick Ness this year as he makes his Gold Rush return. They’re also over the moon to see Rick’s co-stars including Parker Schnabel, and Tony Beets, supporting him as he pushes on with a fresh mining season. As Rick’s hunt for gold begins to reach its end, he enlists the help of his good pal, Zee – and Gold Rush viewers couldn’t be happier.

Rick opened up earlier in the season about some of the hurdles he’s had to overcome in life. The past few years for him have been some of the toughest, but he’s back on Gold Rush, and turning his life around. Fans commend him for “facing his demons,” and they love seeing a support network around the Discovery star.

Zee melts fans’ hearts

Rick and Zee reunited during episode 19 and fans can’t get enough of their friendship.

Upon Zee’s return, many took to Instagram to comment on how excited they were. One said: “Get Monster Red Rolling Guys!!!”

More commented: “Zee is one of those kinda friends you’ll go to the grave with‼️”

Others were happy to see him supporting Rick, writing: “Rick is looking so much better. Love that Tony, Parker, and everyone else is supporting Rick, he deserves it. Facing your demons, and moving in a great direction is the best treatment in life. Keep up the great work Rick. You deserve it””

More were just as excited, commenting: “Zee is back!!!! Love it. I so appreciate their true friendship, it’s what makes life worth living.”

Others said the star needs to be “protected at all costs,” writing: “Zee is the kind of guy you have to call your best friend. The genuine care for Rick and respect he has is just amazing… He is a national treasure!!!”

Truck runs off course

Although both Rick and viewers at home were pleased to see Zee back on the show, his admission of not driving a rock truck for five years should’ve come as a warning sign.

The Discovery star explains he’d “do anything” for Rick, and adds he ran a wash plant for a whole year before.

Zee had all the enthusiasm to get Monster Red up and running again but he panicked later in the show when his truck veered off course.

As the truck steers off track, Zee is seen saying: “Woah, oh, no, no,” before the camera pans out, showing the truck leaning to one side.
